Coach Don Meyer, an exceptional college basketball coach, leader, and great man lost his valiant battle with cancer last week.

I’ve been coaching basketball at the high school level for 7 years now, and coached AAU, county recreation and various church league games for years before that. It’s been my distinct pleasure to meet and learn from a number of great coaches; Rick Majerus, Lorenzo Romar, Jim Boylen, Larry Krystkowiak, and Benny Dees among many others.

With the exception of maybe Rick Majerus, none has had quite so profound an impact on my life as Don Meyer.
